KJ4-XR (X-Rebound) is the first model of what we can call the “new Kangoo Jumps generation”, considering it’s major advantages over the former model, the KJ4-TT. The XR’s provide a “softer ride” (you can now feel the cushioning even when walking), more rebound, increased comfort, and it’s Tension Bands do not need to be adapted to the weight of the user, as they accommodate a much wider range of weights (35 kg - 110 Kg). They’re also suitable for teens and pre-teens.

KJ4-XR’s reduce the impact even more than the TT’s, and they accommodate a broader weight range, which makes them ideal for use in therapeutic clinics, for use after injury or surgery.

   
Even though the KJ4 X-Rebound looks similar to the former model, the technical configuration of the spring system (shells & T-springs) is quite different. Try them. You’ll notice the difference immediately!
KJ4-XR’s are now available in two colours: Blue and Black. Both with yellow T-Springs.

Sizing: remember, all Kangoo Jumps models are unisex, marked with men’s sizes.



SCIENTIFIC NEWS & ENDORSEMENTS
 
 




A study conducted by Dr. J.E. Taunton at the University of British Columbia - Canada, with 2 groups of novice runners, one wearing Kangoo Jumps, the other conventional running shoes, during a walk/run program over 12 weeks to prepare for a 10 Km charity ‘fun run’, reports these conclusions:

• 42% of runners wearing conventional shoes reported running injuries

• % of Kangoo-Runners reported any injury…

That’s not all…During the same period of time, Kangoo-Runners increased their fitness level (VO2 Max) by an average of 15% !
Whereas the subjects in conventional running shoes showed no noticeable increase in fitness level…

This study, which has been presented at the American College of Sport Medicine conference (www.acm.org •), in San Francisco May 28th-31st 03, attended by about 5,500 Sport Medicine Doctors, concludes that Kangoo Jumps are a safe, efficient & effective training tool.

Kangoo Jumps have become a significant component of Steve & Kate’s Camp, Mill Valley - California, for several years. They use KJs in conjunction with other activities and games, like basketball, jump roping, jogging, volleyball etc.

Year after year, Kangoo Jumps seem to be the favourite children’s activity. They do all kinds of games that they would normally do without KJs.

THE ADVICE CORNER

Don’t tighten your buckles too much! We noticed that most people have a tendency to tighten their buckles far too much, out of fear that they might twist their ankles. This fear is unfounded, as the KJs soles are as wide, or wider than your own shoes. So, there is no lateral instability. So get comfortable! Allow a relatively lose fit to avoid ankle soreness!
Debi Sugarman, a customer from Texas who had bought her first KJs in 1998 and had used them almost daily, called us to order a new pair. She said she loved KJs even though she was suffering of ankle soreness when using them. We told her to try a very lose fit. The very next day she wrote us saying that, for the first time in over 4 years, she hadn’t felt soreness anymore and also felt secure without tightening her buckles so much!
Do you feel a bit tight in your KJs at the forefoot level? Try to remove the extra inner sole, inside the liners.
Save your joints,
and save your Running shoes too!
